Overview
The Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program at SRMU is a four-year undergraduate program that provides students with a comprehensive education in design theory, principles, and practices. The program aims to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to pursue successful careers in the design industry.
Our B.Des in Fashion Design program is ideal for students who have a passion for fashion and want to turn their creative ideas into reality. The program covers a wide range of topics, including fashion illustration, pattern making, garment construction, textiles, and fashion marketing. Students will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, including industry-standard sewing machines, mannequins, and a range of fabrics and materials. Through hands-on projects and internships, students will develop a strong understanding of the fashion industry and the skills required to succeed in it.
The program curriculum is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in design theory and principles, as well as practical skills in using design software, tools, and techniques. Students will learn to think creatively and critically, developing innovative solutions to real-world design problems. The program also emphasizes the importance of research and development, encouraging students to conduct research, gather insights, and apply them to their design projects. In addition to classroom learning, the B.Des program at SRMU provides students with opportunities for hands-on experience through internships, industry collaborations, and real-world projects. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board. The candidate should have studied any stream (Science, Commerce, or Arts) at the intermediate level.
