Government of Uttar Pradesh has established “Woman Power Line 1090” for prevention of atrocities against women. It was launched on 5-11-2012. The WPL has made a distinct presence in the empowerment of women. The “Women Security App 1090” was also launched in the year 2014 for functioning and activities of Women Power Line 1090, which is the only agency of empowering women and Girl child. Police officers across UP ensure that field units get online for real-time experience. The 1090 Centre has been built with immense capacity and capability. In this program, we appoint school/college girls as Power Angels as part of the ongoing issues of girl’s safety and Security. By Uttar Pradesh 1090 U.P. POLICE (government), 90 students were awarded with SPO (SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER) card.
