Power Angels and Power Heroes

‘Power Angels’ as a concept, is indigenous to Women Power Line 1090, and aims to foster a police-citizen partnership to create safer public spaces for women. The Power Angels are appointed as Special Police Officers who are entrusted with the task of acting as a link between the police and the society. The idea is to empower and motivate women and girls, to speak up against harassment, register a strong voice and not find themselves at the receiving end of societal victimization, alienation or pressures that refrains them from registering their dissent. The aim of appointing Power Angels is to generate the informal support system, to spread awareness about 1090 in the College/University premises and outside..

Spic Macay

SPIC MACAY’s (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth), a non-political nationwide voluntary movement was established with the intention to enrich the quality of formal education by increasing awareness about different aspects of Indian heritage and inspiring the young mind to imbibe the values embedded in it. It seeks to inspire youth through experiencing the mysticism embodied in the rich and heterogeneous cultural tapestry of Indian and World Heritage.

The students of Snapshot Club capture all events in the University. Some of the events covered by the students are Anubhuti-The Annual Fest, TEDx, National and International Conferences. The main goal of the Club is to capture the sweet memories so that they can be refreshed over and over again.

Apni Pathshala

As part of our commitment for uplifting socially and economically weaker strata of society and to protect the threatened and uphold rights of children like right to education, nutrition, health, shelter and protection, an initiative 'Apni Pathshala' was undertaken in 2005. The objective is to nurture children by imparting quality education, inculcating values and providing vocational training for skill development and personality grooming.

NCC

The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose. Needless to say, the NCC also provides an environment conducive to motivating young Indians to join the armed forces. The journey of Girls’ wing of 55 NCC cadets started in 2014 by 20 UP Girls BN NCC. A full platoon of girl cadets has been set up who have recently received their 'B' and 'C' certificates. Commendably, many girl cadets have shown exemplary talent & won accolades for their platoon as well as for the University.

NSS

Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University is one step ahead to motivate students for social welfare along with education. NSS Volunteers are highly encouraged to contribute their knowledge and skills at ground level. The programme aims to include social welfare in students, and to provide service to society without bias.
