Program Objectives
  1. Students from any disciplines get the basic understanding of journalism and mass communication.

  2. The student shall learn both non-verbal and verbal skills- a pre-requisite for any industry especially media. The students shall be able to apply various tools and techniques of communication in the arena of public relations, corporate relations and advertising.

  3. Shall become trained in developing news stories of both for print and electronic media. They will develop camera handling skills and the art of capturing the right moment.

  4. To develop the skills to cyber security issues with a scientific position and then relates them to multipart of cyber world legal troubles.

  5. To provide an overview to Communication Research and teach the student how to conduct Communication Research.

  6. To emphasize the role of various International Bodies and international issues.

  7. To learn the role played by the Internet, New and Social Media in Media today.

  8. To learn the skills required for handling radio program production and to do piece to cameras, VO etc.


Program Learning Outcomes
  1. Students will be able to describe and illustrate the basic and advanced idea about the various aspects of journalism and mass communication and its evolution along with organizations associated with it.

  2. The students shall be able to relate and apply with the various tools and techniques of communication in the arena of public relations, corporate relations and advertising.

  3. The students shall be able to produce and compose news stories in English and Hindi for print and electronic media .They will develop camera handling skills and the art of capturing the right moment as well as usage and application of various photo and video editing softwares.

  4. The student shall be able to solve cyber security issues with a scientific position and then be able to recognize and relate them to multi part of cyber world legal troubles.

  5. The student shall be able to interpret and analyze various aspects of communication for development and get an overview of communication research which shall aid him/her in conducting communication research on any given topic/subject.

  6. The students will be able to identify and discuss the role of international bodies and summarize international issues and power equations of contemporary world.

  7. Students shall be able to articulate and demonstrate event management skills and will be able to infer the importance and role played by the Internet, New Media and Social Media in Media today.

  11. Students will be able to assess, relate and apply the soft skills training and facilitate management practices in various media organizations and related industries.

  4. The students shall learn about the governance and several aspects of Indian Polity and Constitution.

  5. The students shall study about the code of ethics and law applicable to media.
